Juvel International, Inc. was
founded in July of 1999 on two passions. One is to introduce the world to
the fine craftsmanship of artisans living in remote rural villages in
Thailand and second to find ways to produce these arts without harming the
environment. One of the founding partners, Mr. Jay Zischke, started his
entrepreneur career 20 years ago by importing handcrafted products from
Mexico and Guatemala. His vision of Juvel International was inspired by
his travels where he saw many incredible artists who because they were not
compensated for their work were forced to live in poverty. The other
founding partner is Ms. Krongjit Chatuparisoot who grew up in Thailand and
graduated from the University of Denver with an MBA in Management. Her
vision on starting Juvel International, Inc was that many of the remote
villages in her country produced exception art. But because of their
remoteness, their work would rarely be seen outside Thailand. Combining
their business knowledge and intercultural experiences Mr. Zischke and Ms.
Chatuparisoot are implementing their dream of bringing the fine work of
ThailandŐs artist to the world. Juvel International, Inc. is already being
recognized as being a name brand company in the marketplace for its
superior quality and in the fair manner in which they do business.
Juvel International, Inc. works
directly with traditional Thai artisans and their villages. Wages are set
by the artists themselves and additionally Juvel International, Inc. gives
5% of their profit back to these villages for community development and
forest preservation. Their mission is expanding beyond Thailand to include
arts worldwide because so many artists have contacted Juvel International,
Inc. directly with the desire to work with them.
The owners and staff greatest
mission and ambition is to create a better life with financial
opportunities for families living in villages in underdeveloped countries,
while at the same time producing products that do not harm the Mother
Earths environment.
